Field Project Superintendent

Summary

The Field Project Superintendent will ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in the field in regard to safety, scheduling, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Candidates should have at least ten years of experience in the commercial building industry primarily as a hands-on superintendent with both ground-up and interior renovation experience managing projects ranging in size from $500k to $5M.

Job Description

  • Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities
  • Become on-site expert for plans and scope of work
  • Work with the Project Manager to develop the project schedule
  • Organize and schedule all trades involved in project
  • Proactively manage work on the critical path
  • Coordinate delivery of materials to the job site
  • Develop and implement a recovery plan in the event a delay occurs
  • Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors
  • Interface with owners, property managers, subcontractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials
  • Attend all meetings with the owner’s representatives and be available for feedback, questions and concerns
  • Assists with RFI creation and change order identification when appropriate
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to the project plans and specifications
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site at all times
  • Investigates and reports accidents and serve as on-site safety officer
  • Generates notifications as needed
  • Completes daily reports (including project photos) and incident reports
  • Close out projects efficiently, resolve construction defects, and complete punch list items
  • Represent Whitestone Construction Services in a professional manner

Compensation

  • Approximately $75,000 to $85,000 per year depending on experience
  • Eligible to participate in generous profit-sharing plan
  • Accrual of up to 3 weeks of PTO the first year

  • Vehicle and phone use reimbursement negotiable
